ibra… i never thought i’d like you. i thought you just didn’t fit in. but you delivered. maybe not as much as what’s expected but given time i think you’d give more. eventually you grew on me. but things happened and then you were gone. then you said things about pep which turned me off. but after sometime i liked you again. and then it happened again.. it’s become a cycle. perhaps you have a point. i won’t know for sure but i just wish you’d stop saying things about pep. just don’t talk about it anymore. idk, it actually hurts me hearing these said about pep and it hurts more that they’re coming from you. for what it’s worth, just not talk about it. i’m still hoping everything will be settled in the end. i know behind that tough, bad boy exterior is a nice man.

Ibra Develops Team Mentality

AC Milan forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic says he has come to realise the importance of teamwork.

Ibrahimovic has been accused of selfishness during his career, but he was praised for the support he gave his team-mates against Chievo this weekend and says he has adapted his philosophy.

“I am now looking to work a lot for the team,” he told Gazzetta dello Sport. “At the start of your career, you want to get yourself recognised and you are more individualist.

“Then you understand that the group is more important than the individual and that you can only go far with the team.

“When my team-mates are happy, I am happy, too, because when I join a team I kill myself for my team-mates. If they win, I win, too.”

I really feel like he’s grown up over the past few years. I can’t really say if that’s getting married, or having kids, or getting older, or Barcelona, or even just me wanting so badly for him to be more mature that I’m seeing things that aren’t there, but I was so proud when I saw he’d assisted those goals for Pato. And even at Barcelona, even with the huge shitstorm he stirred up when he left… none of his teammates had a bad word to say about him. I felt like he was genuinely fond of Leo and Bojan. He’s probably always going to be a dick to the people signing his checks (which is not reserved exclusively to him, btw; I see you there, Dani Alves, dragging out your contract renegotiations) but I think (I hope) he’s grown out of being a brat in the locker room.
